Out of all the essential oils, I must confess that Lime Oil is my favourite. The correct name is Citrus Aurantifolia, but I will now only refer to it by the common name. (Phew! I hear you cry!) Lime essential oil has a revitalising, tangey aroma (top note) that stimulates the senses and uplifts the spirit. I love in a diffuser on those dark days that we get in the winter. It's botanical name is Citrus Aurantifolia (family:rutaceae). It is made from the fruit peel in the West Indies. The main problem with lime oil is that it is phototoxic.
