The Lloyds allergy reliever is a complementary treatment which claims to relieve the symptoms of hayfever using infrared light therapy administered via nasal probes. I bought this complementary treatment for hayfever to try to reduce the amount of drugs that I need on a daily basis. I've had the traditional atopy ... Read the complete review

I forgot I had this little gadget. I bought it when I saw it in our local chemist along with the air purifier two years ago. Not for any allergy problem as I don't have hay fever. I have always had blocked sinus, ear nose and throat problems. I wondered if this would help without having to take Asprin or Ibuprofen. Those were the ... Read the complete review

I bought the hayfever reliever three years ago to deal with moderate hayfever. We live in a village surrounded by fields of oil seed rape and other allergy nasties and I was finding it increasingly expensive to keep my hayfever under control using anti-histamine tablets and a nasal spray. Not only that, our nearest chemist is an ... Read the complete review

I am reading these reviews with interest, hoping that I will get some similar results. I purchased the Hayfever Allergy Reliever yesterday after two years of hell, during which time I have taken at least one antihistamine pill of some description every day. My eyes and nose stream and I just feel as if I have had a bad cold for two ... Read the complete review

-What is it?- The Lloyds Pharmacy Allergy Reliever is a device that, when used regulary, claims to reduce allergies related to hayfever and other air borne allergens. -How does it work- Apparently it used "red light therapy" which kill or suppress histamine cells in your nose (the naughty cells that make ... Every summer without a doubt I, like many suffer from the dreaded hayfever. It is usually in June that my symptoms kick in. I would not say that I suffer as severely as some people, but I am forever sneezing and literally clawing at my eyes because they become so itchy and irritated. Each summer, prior to discovering Lloyds' hayfever ... Read the complete review

I have suffered with hay fever from an early age - and I do get it quite bad (worse than some). I tend to get it early on, and then again later in the season. I feel it's the tree pollen that really gets me going! Anyway, I don't take any tablets - don't like the idea of taking antihistamines (for reasons I won't go into ... Read the complete review

I bought the Allergy Reliever and the Air Purifier for the combined price of 21.98 at Lloyds Pharmacy - it seems to be on permanent special offer. I must say I was extremely sceptical about the idea that sticking a lighted probe up your nose a few times a day could help with hayfever. However, my antihistamines weren't working ... suffered with hayfever for as long as i can remember. Mainly affects my eyes, were by am iching them so much they swell and vision is blured giving me bad headaches as well dry throat and running nose. Tried marjority of prescription drugs but only reduce the symptoms. While i was pregnant all my sypmtoms disappeared without the need of any drugs.... but as soon as i had my baby they started to reappear. So it was back to the doctors to see what i could take to help. Due to me breastfeeding there is a lack of research in taking antihistamines while breastfeeding my doctor was very unhelpfull so when i saw the advert for this device i thought i might as well try it. OH MY GOD it is amazing my hayfever has disappeared i use it every 5hrs. WORTH EVERY PENNY

This product was recomended by a colleague. After suffering from severe hayfever since my youth I was willing to give anything a go. 3 days into using it I'm pretty impressed by it. I've used it 4 times a day and it seems to be working. You still get the odd sneeze and snuffles but for the majority of the day you can get on with your life. I was going through half a box of tissues a day at work, you still need to blow your nose from time to time but it's stopped streaming like it used to. You do get the slight feeling of a cold in your nose, the kind you get when you're getting rid of a cold, your snot's dry and you do loose some sence of smell. My only complaint is that they didn't invent this 20 years ago!!!!!!!!!

I have been using this gadget for about 3 weeks now, for chronic Rhinitis and streaming eyes. It does seem to have helped but I've noticed I can't smell the scent of the sweet peas in the room which my husband is enjoying, although other scents are normal. I find the Rudolph effect rather amusing!
