Lockets Honey & Blackcurrant not the best alternative (Lockets Cough Sweets)

Advantages: The lockets did help to clear my sore throat for a small amount of time.

Disadvantages: The taste of these lozenges is very strong and not as nice as others.

Ingredients
Menthol 9.7mg, eucaolyptol 9.2mg per lozenge. Also contains: sugar, glucose syrup, honey, glycerol, citric acid, vitamin C flavourings (blackcurrent and lemon flavours, grapefruit, lemon and lime oils), monopropylene glycol, colours (E122, E142).
10 medicated lozenges with menthol, eucalyptol, vitamin C and a soothing real honey centre, lockets. Help clear your nose and soothe your throat. Indications: for the symptomatic relief of blocked nose and sore throat. Directions: dissolve one in ,mouth when required. Do n ot exceed a dose in any 24 hours of 3 packs for adults, 2 packs for children aged 6 to 12 years old, or 1 pack for children aged 6 years old.


My Opinion
I brought these honey and blackcurrant lozenges that now have a bigger soothing centre as the shop I went to had no soothers available. This was not a good idea for me, as I am used to the soothing texture of the soothers and the lockets are a lot more harsh both in the outer shell and the flavouring also. I know that you are not supposed to buy lozenges for the taste but to do the job, by clearing this nasty cold and bunged up feeling. However I like to be able to enjoy what I am tasting. The lockets did seem to stop my throat from hurting as much as it did before, but I feel the soothers would have done this anyway.
It didn't help that the pack I brought was 99p, which is much more pricey then soothers, but also after I had finished most of the pack I was stunned to see that they were 3 months out of date! I will so not be using that shop again.
