Advantages: Great tasting and they work.

Disadvantages: A bit expensive for some maybe.

Around this time of year it is very common for colds and flu`s to kick in with people and although I am a great believer that you have to let them run their course and that all the medicines you get for them are as good as useless there is one thing I reach for every time the symptoms of a cold start.

Along with the runny noses coughs and sneezes invariably comes the dreaded sore throats and this is one thing you can do something about with the help of Lockets. Lockets cough sweets come in two flavours, Blackcurrant and Honey and Lemon, both are very nice but Blackcurrant is my favourite.

Lockets are double action cough sweets although for me it is only the sore throat soothing that matters, the other thing they do well is unblock stuffy noses. There are ten cough sweets in every packet of Lockets and depending on where you buy them you can expect to pay between 65 and 75p for them.

I personally go through at least a packet a day when I get a sore throat but it really depends on personal taste and needs. I don't mind one bit having to pay around 70p a day for relief from horrible sore throats so the price is no object to me however it may be for some.

Lockets have a crisp hard boiled sweet outer shell which is filled with a liquid centre, the hard shell tastes lovely but the liquid centres might be a bit strong for some. I find that after taking a locket it is around 45 minutes before my sore throat starts to come back and another is needed but again this will vary from person to person.

If you are suffering from a sore throat now then there is no need to try all different cough sweets just reach straight for lockets, they come highly recommended by me and are simply the best in their field.
