Advantages: Infused with olbas oil.
Disadvantages: None!
My daughter is not having much luck lately, first I find the mother of all nit infestations upon her person, or more namely in her wig! Then after a frenzied phone call to myself, I discovered she has been projectile vomiting over her geography schoolwork. And trust me, it must have been a wonder to see, the playground has been buzzing with random kids talking about it, when she goes back to school tomorrow she will be deemed a minor celebrity!
Anyway puke aside, I have come to the conclusion that after braving the abysmal weather that we had on Saturday night to watch the fireworks, she has caught a chill to her stomach and this has in turn become a rather nasty cold.
As she has decided to return to school tomorrow, (she is worried she will miss getting her homework..... She so obviously doesn't take after me!), and she has still got a bit of a cold and blocked nose I decided to treat her to some nice tissues, in oppose to making her wipe her snitch with the smart price toilet roll we use at home!
The product I will now review is - "Lotus vapour release olbas tissues".
First of may I state that buying a product like this is a real rarity for me, I tend to use the cheap stuff then slather my nose with Vaseline at night, this way I don't get the "glow" and my nose doesn't scab too much, in fact it looks like I have some sort of tropical disease at night... very erotic! LOL.
I picked these tissues up in a multipack, this containing six packs of tissues within.
The packets are a lovely and vibrant green and orange colour with both the "lotus" and "olbas" brand names on them.
Also at the bottom of the pack is a picture of a hand scrunching up a tissue, with the statement tha once you crush these tissues the olbas vapours will be released form the tissues.
This is of course not entirely true, I could smell the olbas as soon as I took an unopened pack from the main packet.
Each pack contains 10 folded tissues, all pre soaked with Olbas oil, well known and widely used in the aid of unblocking cold and catarrh stuffed noses across the country!
The pack also states that Lotus have teamed up with Olbas to "capture oil into tiny capsules which have then been sprayed onto tissue".
Each tissue is white in colour and 30-40 cms and square in shape. After getting my nose closer, for investigative purposes of course, I have determined that the pattern that runs around the edge of the tissue is the part that contains the vapour, although I am more than ready to be corrected!
The scent is strong enough to help alleviate the blocked nose, but not so strong as to make your eyes water.
The tissue is strong, perfect to not have holes blown through it whilst you are doing your best "Nellie the elephant" impression and it is also soft so as not to cause damage to the skin around your nose.
These tissues were bought from my local Asda and cost me only £1.00, these were on offer and at full retail price wiuld be around the £1.30 range, still not too extortionate.
I recommend these highly, I love things that can be classed as multi functioning, and the fact that they have stopped my daughter moaning about her snotty nose is of course a bonus.
