When I was younger, Deep Heat spray was a foul smelling "something" that my Mum used to spray onto my Dad's legs after he had been out playing football! The name, Deep Heat, scared me somewhat as a child and I didn't dare mess about with it as a result. It's only been recently, in the last few weeks that I have tried this product, and it was reluctantly that I agreed to use it (due to my childhood memories sticking in my mind) to help the lower back pain I have been experiencing lately. The Deep Heat spray I have used was the 150g aerosol can which retails at around £2.69. You can also buy the Deep Heat brand product in a patch or as a rub. There are ... Read the complete review

A few years ago I pulled a muscle quite badly in my back & it was recommended by my GP that as well as taking prescribed painkillers it was worth using a heat spray. I found this Mentholatum Deep Heat Spray in our local chemist & found it so good that I've always made sure we have some in our medicine cabinet 'just in case'. I'm really pleased I had some as over the weekend as my older daughter & I decided to reorganise one of the bedrooms which involved a good few hours bending, stretching, carrying & lifting heavy books, furniture etc. The next day I woke up with aches & pains in muscles in my body which I never knew existed ... A side effect to one of the tablets (chlorpromazine) I take to help stabilise my bipolar is torticollis - otherwise known as wry neck, my head muscles basically go into spasm and my head ends up turning slightly to one side, it is extremely painful and takes a few visits to my osteopath to put right. As I normally have to wait a few days to get treated I rely on this to get me through - I will take painkillers as well if it gets too bad but prefer not to pump my body full of any more medication as I am on enough as it is. It comes in a can as shown above and is for fast relief of rheumatic pain, muscular aches and strains. Main active ... Read the complete review

I've pulled a muscle at the top of my thigh and I did it in such a mad way that I can't believe I've actually injured myself as well as looking like a complete plum when I did it! It happened as I was getting out of the shower last night, I'd used the downstairs bathroom where the shower is above the bath and as I got out my foot that was still in the bath slipped so I ended up carrying all my weight on the other foot that wasn't even hardly touching the floor yet. I felt something twinge when I did it but it wasn't until this morning that I woke up with a very painful leg and the doctor couldn't fit me in until Thursday. I even thought about a trip to ... In many aspects of life such as exercising, lifting things at work or just generally putting strain on my back, I have begun to develop quite frequent pains on my back, particularly on my lower back and on the shoulder blades. Someone recommended that I tried Deep Heat to relieve the pain, so I bought myself a can and tried it. Packaging and price ------------------------- The can comes as a stand alone aerosol can and contains 100g or 150ml of Deep Heat spray. The can is mostly covered in red to reflect the heat with flame like italics for the logo and a small summary in yellow of the uses of Deep Heat. I paid £2.42 for the spray, which was ...
