Advantages: Helps mild to moderate aches and pains

Disadvantages: Can sometimes cause allergic reactions

My partner has sworn by the Deep Heat spray for many years as he is a chronic sufferer of muscular aches and pains, he particularly used it for his back pain, it always seemed to do the trick and ease the pain for several hours before having to reapply. It gently heats the area of where you feel discomfort..
So when on one occasion I was suffering from moderate low back pain, probably from lifting the kids too much , I decided to give it a try...

Little did I know that I was going to be one of the few people that had a severe allergic reaction to one of the active ingredients called Mentholatum, which is very quickly absorbed into the skin, (to help with your pain or discomfort).

I sprayed a generous amount of where I was experiencing my discomfort, and within seconds I had developed a rash all over my body, felt really hot., and had difficulty breathing..not sure whether the breathing was down to panic, however I do remember waking up in the back of our car on the way to hospital, feeling rather confused!

Thankfully, I was feeling ok and recovered quickly without any medical intervention.
However for me I will not be using Deep Heat again, and funnily enough my partner has decided against using it too!

Summary: Good product to use if you do not have sensitive skin or suffer with allergies..
