Advantages: Works wonders on aching muscles; More convenient than the cream

Disadvantages: Burns a bit so watch out!

I've pulled a muscle at the top of my thigh and I did it in such a mad way that I can't believe I've actually injured myself as well as looking like a complete plum when I did it! It happened as I was getting out of the shower last night, I'd used the downstairs bathroom where the shower is above the bath and as I got out my foot that was still in the bath slipped so I ended up carrying all my weight on the other foot that wasn't even hardly touching the floor yet.

I felt something twinge when I did it but it wasn't until this morning that I woke up with a very painful leg and the doctor couldn't fit me in until Thursday. I even thought about a trip to A&E because my leg was that painful but eventually decided to ask the pharmacist in Boots what she recommended because she always gives very good advice.

She said it was probably a muscle strain and said to apply Deep Heat which would help to take the ache away while the muscle repaired itself.

I brought the spray because I can't stand the feel or smell of the Deep Heat on my hands even though I quite like the smell of it overall.

It comes out as a fine spray and the aerosol makes it easy to spray where the Deep Heat is needed. After a minute it will start warming up and then the effects of the spray soothed the painful area of my leg. I was impressed by how quickly the ache went away, even though it didn't disappear completely the edge went off it and I was able to walk on it without looking like I had polio!

There are quite a few people who can't use this spray such as asthmatics and pregnant women, so if you have an ache I suggest you read the back of the can carefully to make sure it's ok for you to use. Also even though the warmth isn't too overpowering, it can burn delicate areas. When I sprayed mine on the top of my thigh I felt it burn a bit when I wasn't too careful to keep it away from my bits! lol

I'm dead impressed with this Deep Heat spray. It's loads easier and cleaner to use than the cream and does the same job, you don't have to rub it in after spraying so you won't get greasy sticky hands.

I paid £2.99 for this Deep Heat spray and I reckon it was well worth it to stop the horrible sickening ache of such a large pulled muscle.

Summary: Now My Leg Doesn't Hurt Half As Much, But It Stinks!
