Advantages: Stop the pain

Disadvantages: expensive

Migraleve were first prescribed for me by my doctor about four years ago. Prior to that I had tried all kinds of pain relief for migraine and never had much success.

You don't need a prescription for these tablets but they are very expensive, so if your doctor will prescribe a duo pack for you (containing yellow and pink pills), you will save a lot of money. Most people who suffer from severe migraine need both yellow and pink migraleve tablets. You take two pink ones at the onset of an attack and if it still develops you take two yellow ones.

I usually find that the pink ones will stop an attack if I take them soon enough but that isn't always possible as I don't always get any warning signs. If I have to take the yellow ones I usually sleep for a couple of hours after taking them. They don't get rid of all the symptoms and I usually feel a bit sick still but at least they get rid of the pain.

If you suffer from migraine and haven't tried these tablets I wouls certainly recommend them.
