Advantages: Works fast, works well

Disadvantages: None

I suffer from athlete's foot occasionally even though I rarely move any faster than a brisk walk and I have found that Mycil is brilliant for getting rid of it FAST!

Athlete's foot is a fungal infection, which appears as a rash between the toes and has nothing to do with being an athlete. The thing that usually brings on my attacks is me being in a rush and not drying my feet properly when I get out of the bath.

Mycil is a double action powder and contains an anti fungal to kill the bacteria together with a powerful antiseptic also effective against the wide range of bacteria associated with athlete's foot.

The powder comes in a 55g puffer pack, currently costing round about £3.50 depending on where you buy it. The pack itself is a very distinctive bright blue with a yellow footprint on it so it is easy to spot.

The puffer pack makes it very easy to apply. You just wash your feet, dry them very carefully especially between the toes and then powder liberally with Mycil. It is also advisable to dust your shoes and socks too.

The instructions on the pack advise you to repeat this night and morning for a week to get rid of the infection, but I have to confess that I only do it for a couple of days and it is gone! I do usually use Mycil as soon as I feel that first tell tale itching, which is why it's easy to get rid of.

Talking of that irritating itching that's associated with athlete's foot, it disappears virtually as soon as you apply the powder - ooh bliss! And my feet feel clean and fresh again.

Mycil can also be used to treat prickly heat and tenderness due to excessive perspiration.

There is a sensible if obvious warning on the pack that, if symptoms persist or if anything unusual happens, you must consult your doctor.

Mycil is also available as a cream although I would think that the powder would feel nicer when your feet are itching and hot.

Being a plastic puffer pack the whole thing can go in the plastic recycling bag once it's empty so that's another advantage in my eyes!

In conclusion I would just say that I would recommend this product totally. It works well, its works quickly and it helps to ease the problem as soon as you apply it - what more would you want?

This review is also on Ciao.

Summary: A great product which wokrs fast.

Great review, I usually use the cream but it always seem to make my feet worse before they get better! I think I'll give this a try the next time. Thanks!! Lel xx
