Mycil Athletes Foot Powder.
=====================
I noticed an itchy rash in between my toes a few months back and at first never really gave it any thought. On a visit to the doctors over something else I happened to mention it to him and he told me it was Athletes Foot brought on by my work boots!
My chemical boots are acid resistance and as such don't allow my feet to breath and after a 12 hour shift my feet are killing me. The doctor told me that the environment in my boot is perfect for the fungal infection to grow.
He actually said it was a bit like trench foot, the more your feet sweated the more moisture was drawn from the foot and the more the athletes' foot prospered.
The Mycil:
========
It costs around £3.00 for the 55g pack and it is quite distinctive, bright blue with a yellow footprint on the container.
(It can also be bought in a cream but I did not try it.)
I bought the Mycil and then proceeded to change my socks in work, they're work socks, at least 3 or 4 times a shift.
I was getting sick of that itchy feeling between my toes and on top of my little toe, strange how it only affected one foot?
The Science:
==========
Athlete's foot is a fungal infection, it loves wet or dampness between the toes so always dry your feet. And always use a talc, medicated being the best, after a bath or shower.
The Mycil attacks the infection on 2 fronts,
Firstly, there is a strong antifungal (Tolnaflate) that kills off the Fungi responsible for the infection.
Secondly, included in the powder is an antiseptic (Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride) that's help with the healing of the skin.
Application:
========
Wash your feet and dry make sure they are properly dry, apply the powder liberally between the toes once in the morning and once early evening. It is also an idea to put a little inside of your sock and shoe. Within a couple of days you will find it's all but gone, after 7-10 days it should have cleared completely.
If it fails to cure the athletes' foot go to the doctor because it will probably be something else.
I would heartily recommend this product. It worked a treat and in the end this is all you really want?
Greg
Summary: Starts to work within 48 hrs
