Most of you know by now that almost two months ago now I had a rather nasty accident involving my wrist. When the bandages came off the area was badly swollen and bruised, not to mention scarred. To try and help with this I have been using several products, one of which is this - arnica. I have used Nelsons arnica gel and cream before on bruises and it has always worked well, although I've found that the gel tends to be better then the cream. However, this time partly because my mum thought they would be better and partly because I happened to have them lying around anyway, I have been using the Nelsons 30c arnica pillules. When it comes to alternative remedies and therapies I'm always up for tying them out particularly when they are recommended from other people. I like the idea of natural remedies and not clogging up my system with heavy medication when I don't have to. Nelsons was a brand my best mate drew my attention to. She swears by the brand and I suffer with terrible backache she and told me Arnica was my way forward so off I went to Boots and stocked up with a few Arnica products to be honest with you and these at £5.10 for 84 tablets seemed a fair enough price to me if it rid me of my daily aches and pains! However, make no mistake; when considering Nelsons Arnica (available in 30c or 6c dosage), the effect of the Arnica plant itself upon inflammation and bruising is entirely irrelevant. Nelsons Arnica is a homeopathic remedy, and there are two basic principles behind homeopathy. One is that "like treats like"; a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person will cure the same symptoms in an ill person. The second is "succussion"; the ... Read the complete review

Arnica Montana (Asteraceae/Compositae) Nelsons’ ClikPak of Arnica Montana homeopathic remedy is available in either 6c or 30c dosages – the c indicates the potency of the pillules. It is advisable to buy the 6c version as this is a more than adequate dosage for most treatments. Nelsons’ ClikPaks are green in colour, plastic vials that have a screw top lid at one end and a “clicker” at the other end. The idea is to dispense the recommended dosage into the unopened cap, then unscrew the cap and tip the pillules straight into a clean mouth. The advised dosage for Arnica Montana is two pillules every hour for six ... Read the complete review
