Advantages: Banishes dry skin

Disadvantages: May not work for everyone

This stuff works like magic on dry skin!

When my doctor recommended this for a really stubborn patch of dry skin I wasn't convinced but thought it was worth trying. I had tried everything and nothing made any difference to dry skin on on eyelid. This was getting me down because it meant I couldn't wear makeup most of the time so I'm sure you'll understand why I was desperate to get rid of it! For about eight months I tried every cream, balm or oil I could get my hands on. I even tried leaving well alone. Some things would seem like they were working well but then the dry skin would gradually creep back and I'd be forced to try something else.

Eventually I decided enough was enough, I wanted to wear eyeliner again so I went to see my doctor and she told me to try sulphur. I was told take six tablets a day for two weeks and then gradually reduce the dose as it improved but I found that I needed more than this. I was taking the full dose for around a month and then gradually reduced it. However I should say that it kept on improving after I stopped taking it so maybe I didn't need as much as I thought. After about six weeks the problem had almost gone and I was back to wearing eyeliner again so I was a very happy bunny. I'd say it took two months in total for the dry skin to disappear completely. I stopped taking sulphur about six weeks ago and I haven't had a problem since although I have got a pack on standby in case it comes back.

I don't understand how this stuff works but I'm told that it is a compound that naturally occurs in every cell in the body and is commonly used to treat dry skin. I wasn't expecting this to work but it really did for me - that's not to say it would work for everyone but I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you have issues with dry skin. I understand that homeopathic remedies are often matched to the person rather than the condition so may not work on everyone but this seems to be a common one for dry skin.

It comes in a glass tube and you click the end to get the tiny tablets out. For some reason you'r not supposed to touch them but just tip them into your mouth. You get 84 tablets for just over a fiver and I found that I needed to buy three packs to completely get rid of the problem but I've still got loads left in the third pack so I'm ready if it comes back! I think that is an absolute bargain for somthing that has completely sorted my dry skin out. It certainly saves me money on buying every intensely moisturising product I can find anyway. Although I did have to go straight out and treat myself to some new eyeliner to celebrate!

For the pleasure of being able to wear make up rather than just having flaky or slimy (from all those moisturisers) eyes I'd pay a lot more!

Summary: Amazing
