Nitol

After a few consequtive nights of insomnia I decided to try some Nitol. I took the recommended dose and settled myself down fora good night's sleep. Three hours later I was still awake. It no more effect than counting sheep would have done. Infact the boredom of counting sheep might have been more effective. I tossed and turned for four hours and then decided to get up to make a drink. I took two partacetamol and a glass of hot ribena and fell asleep immediately! Now I am not a big sufferer of Insomnia anymore - with 2 kids I am asleep as soon as my head touches the pillow, but a few years ago pre-kids it was a different story. I suffered a bout of insomnia recently that began to interfere with my waking life at work. It went on for such a time that I decided it would be wise to do something medicinal about it. Insomnia can be a particularly intrusive condition as it not only affects concentration during the day, but also your moods. I became irritable, snappish and quick-tempered. I am one of many people who suffer occasional sleep distrubance. while I can't say it is a major issue, it can cause the odd week of discomfort every few months or so.
