I suffer quite regularly from aches and pains in my back. I would imagine that a significant percentage of these are posture related however I do also have a very slight form of spina bifida. This doesn't affect me much, and not at all in things that I do and was discovered purely by chance by x ray when I was around sixteen years old! Due to having these pains in my back I find that I have to take pain killers more often than I would like and so I thought I would look for a rub on gel to see if that was more effective for me. I was in Boots looking at the various gels and in the end decided to opt for the nurofen 5% ibuprofen gel. The only reason I ... Read the complete review

As some of you may know, starting or upping an exercise regime can actually make you feel worse sometimes: I have recently started long-distance walking plus going to the gym, in a bid to lose weight, but the downside is that now I have hurt my knee! Needing something to soothe it, I have been and bought some Nurofen Ibuprofen Gel . It was around £3.19 and I got it from my local Boots, although it is widely available at all supermarkets and chemists. Easily identifiable in a silver box, inside is a matching silver tube with tells you that it contains 5% ibuprofen. The instructions recommend that you use about an inch in length of the gel and ... Nurofen 5% Gel Ibuprofen I was happily chilling out in dreamland, fast asleep, when all of a sudden I sat bolt upright in bed with stabbing pains in my neck. After checking that I hadn't, in fact, been stabbed, I cursed my neck for waking me up and realised that I had somehow injured myself whilst sleeping. How I managed to do this remains a mystery - but now its a few days on and I'm still in pain. I think I've strained something in my neck, my boyfriend thinks it's a trapped nerve. Either way, it still hurts. I am no novice when it comes to neck and back pain; I once even received acupuncture through the NHS (that's a story for another day). So now I'm on a ... I have not yet found that this works for me, perhaps I am not using it correctly. I have been using it after I excercise if I have pulled a muscle or over worked something. This week I had hurt my thighs after a really high impact gym class, I applied the gel the next day when the pain started, I did not notice any pain relief. I ended up giveing up 2 days later and took a pill to tail off the pain after I had given up on the gel. It also takes a long time to seep in, its something you have to leave uncovered for about 30 minutes to dry up, and although there is no sticky residue, you can tell theres something on your skin.
