Nurofen are a painkiller brand, who sell a variety of painkillers, such as 'fast relief' etc. In my review, I'm just going to talk about the standard Nurofen. Avaliability - from most supermarkets, chemists, newsagents, and drugstores. There may be limits on how many packs you can buy at one time. Price - around 2.50 a box, depending where you get it from. Packaging - Nurofen come in a silver box, with the nurofen logo on the side and front. The number of tablets per box is on the front & directions for use is on the back. There is a detailed leaflet inside, telling you the ingredients, who can't take it, etc. I'd advise people to ... Read the complete review

Nurofen Plus is one of the strongest painkillers available over the counter, containing both ibuprofen and 12.8mg of codeine phosphate. It works really well, and as far as I am aware the same combination of drugs is not available to buy in a cheaper generic form. They are great to use if you are in a lot of pain, from say toothache and other OTC drugs dont hit the spot. However, the box fails to mention that codeine is an opiate based drug and therefore if used over a longer period of time is addictive. A quick search of the internet will show that it is a drug that is widely misuded. If you do use this painkiller, be aware of the addiction potential and don't ... Read the complete review

I took Nurofen a few years ago, when I was living at home with my parents during my wilderness years. I had a severe headache, and found them in the back of the bathroom cabinet - my big brother had left them behind. I read the side of the packet, and read through the leaflet that came with them. I took two tablets. I waited for my headache to go. It went. But I found myself in agony. My back hurt. My chest hurt. I could not stand up straight. Whichever way I shifted I was in terrible excruciating pain. After another four hours of unbelievable agony spent contorting myself from one position to another, and crawling around my ... I'm quite prone to getting headaches and so I am normally always stocked up with painkillers, and if I am honest it's usually the cheap supermarket brand makes. However on one trip to the supermarket to get some painkillers they didn't have any of there cheaper makes but as I was desperate I decided to buy Nurofen Express because I had heard of the brand and trusted it and also the word express bought me hope that my headache would soon be gone! However the price of around £6 for the 20 tablets started a whole new headache of it's own! The packet is cardboard and mainly silver and looks quite modern, It has nurofen written in large red writing at the top so ... Read the complete review

As a lot of my regular readers will know, I gave birth to my beautiful little girl on the tenth of last month. I had a natural (vaginal) birth and unfortunately needed an episiotomy. I had internal stitches which in my opinion slowed down the healing process as I was so swollen and in so much pain for a solid fortnight and even after that, the pain was almost unbareable - I could honestly hardly move (even laying down was painful!) and I thought I'd never be normal again. Luckily, nurofen came in very handy! I was dissapointed that despite the amount of pain I was in, my doctor refused to prescribe me a stronger painkiller due to other medication I was on, and so when I . Read the complete review
