Nurofen are a painkiller brand, who sell a variety of painkillers, such as 'fast relief' etc. In my review, I'm just going to talk about the standard Nurofen. Avaliability - from most supermarkets, chemists, newsagents, and drugstores. There may be limits on how many packs you can buy at one time. Price - around 2.50 a box, depending where you get it from. Packaging - Nurofen come in a silver box, with the nurofen logo on the side and front. The number of tablets per box is on the front & directions for use is on the back. There is a detailed leaflet inside, telling you the ingredients, who can't take it, etc. I'd advise people to ... Read the complete review

Nurofen Plus is one of the strongest painkillers available over the counter, containing both ibuprofen and 12.8mg of codeine phosphate. It works really well, and as far as I am aware the same combination of drugs is not available to buy in a cheaper generic form. They are great to use if you are in a lot of pain, from say toothache and other OTC drugs dont hit the spot. However, the box fails to mention that codeine is an opiate based drug and therefore if used over a longer period of time is addictive. A quick search of the internet will show that it is a drug that is widely misuded. If you do use this painkiller, be aware of the addiction potential and don't ... Read the complete review

There are times when regular Nurofen just isn’t enough and you need something a little stronger, well the people at Nurofen know this and so they launched Nurofen Plus. As it turns out it is quite a little gem. Any of you who know me, and those of you who don’t are finding out now, that I have not been very well of late. After a “routine” wisdom teeth extraction operation I have never recovered and so have been in a lot of pain for the last 6 months. Pain relief has obviously been very important to me and so it is fair to say that there aren’t many products that I haven’t tried. So, if you see me writing a lot of medication ... I took Nurofen a few years ago, when I was living at home with my parents during my wilderness years. I had a severe headache, and found them in the back of the bathroom cabinet - my big brother had left them behind. I read the side of the packet, and read through the leaflet that came with them. I took two tablets. I waited for my headache to go. It went. But I found myself in agony. My back hurt. My chest hurt. I could not stand up straight. Whichever way I shifted I was in terrible excruciating pain. After another four hours of unbelievable agony spent contorting myself from one position to another, and crawling around my ... Now I always used to be the sort of person who tries shrug off pain without medication. If I had a headache I'd lie down and take a nap. If I had backache, I'd take a hot bath. That was until I started getting really bad period pains. The sort where I'd be physically sick from the amount of pain I was in. So one day after nearly collapsing, I gave up and brought the strongest painkillers that they sold in the shop where I work, Nurofen Liquid Capsules. Like all the other Nurofen products, the main active ingredient is ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), like paracetomol and asprin. NSAIDs are painkillers ...
