I had this laser surgery done almost 2 years ago and I can say that it has totally changed my life. The whole process was quick and easy and i found the staff at Optical Express to be very helpful and professional at all times.

I started by phoning to ask for a free consultation to see if I was suitable after seeing this advertised. I was offered a consultation that same day and went for it. I was a bit disappointed when the advertised price of 'from £395 per eye' turned out to be on a scale depending on how bad my eyesite was and what sort of treatment I wanted although there were various credit options available. I decided that if i was to have treatment like this then I would get the best I could and ended up paying £2500 over a year with interest free credit. I was also given a £100 discount as I booked to have the treatment just a week later. I think if I had left it longer I may have frightened myself out of it.

On the day of the treatment I arrived and had some pre surgery checks done. The laser surgery itself was over in about 5 minutes and although uncomfortable and unpleasant it was not particularly painful and altogether I was probably only in the place about half an hour and that was it done. The next few hours weren't much fun as I struggled to keep my eyes open as they seemed very very sensitive to light and watered unbelievably if I tried to open them. It is recommended that you sleep as much as possible during this which I did and by that evening I was out in my local pub!

Although the treatment is not cheap when compared to a lifetime of contact lenses it works out as saving me money in the long term. Even without the financial benefits just the ease and lack of hassle of contacts and glasses would make it worth while. It is a revelation to be able to go on holiday and not worry about forgetting glasses or lenses or solution or any of the other bits and pieces I needed before. I would recommend anyone who is interested in this to find out about it as soon as possible. I definately have no regrets at all about having this done.
