Advantages: Works wonders, instant relief
Disadvantages: Small bottles
I was originally prescribe Opticrom by my GP about 10 years ago when I suffered from an eye infection which was bought on by an allergy to nail resin. It didnt help at the time that I had only recently qualified as a nail technician, so was a little annoyed to say the least.
Opticrom is a clear colourless allergy eye drop that comes in a 5ml bottle. It contains the active ingredient Sodium Cromoglicate 2.0% w/v which provides soothing relief for itchy allergy eyes.
The bottle is only small but I have found that it does last a long time, if your more of a regular user Opticrom is available to buy in a 10ml bottle as well.
Directions:
Wash hands before use, remove cap and tilt your head back.
1 or 2 drops into each eye 4 times daily or as directed by your Doctor.
Close your eye and wipe away any excess liquid with a clean tissue.
Cautions:
Do not use this product if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients. These include, Benzalkonium chloride, Disodium ededate & purified water.
Soft contacts should not be worn whilst using this product.
I found Opticrom to be a life saver when I had my eye infection years back. My eyes were extremely sore and irritable and I had difficulty focussing properly. Opticrom did a great job and is very easy to use and does not irritate your eyes further. I havent had an eye infection for a long time now as I avoid nail resin but I do on occasion suffer from hayfever so recently I bought another bottle of Opticrom to see me through my hayfever period.
Anyone who suffers from hayfever or just gritty eyes from tiredness should definitely try Opticrom. I find it very soothing almost instantly would definitely recommend it.
I bought mine from Chemist Direct for £2.99 but it can also be bought from Amazon or any other chemists for around the same price.
