I've used Otrivine on and off for years when I've had a cold. The simple reason is because it helps me to breathe and I hate not being able to breathe through my nose. I've recently had a sinus infection, only the second one I've ever had and I have to say I'd forgotten just how horribly painful and nasty it is. Anyway, strangely although my sinuses have been blocked, my nose hasn't particularly so I'd not been using the Otrivine much. Then a friend of mine who's had sinusitis a fair few times suggested I try using it anyway because it helps to decongest the sinuses not just the nasal cavity. So what is Otrivine? Otrivine is an adult nasal ... Read the complete review

My doctor recommended this to me when I went to see him with a cough which had gone on for weeks. He advised that part of the reason we can't get any sleep when we have a cough, is that overnight the mucus from your congested nose will fall onto your chest/throat, and this makes you want to cough. Apparently using this throughout the day and just before bed clears the airways and should help you sleep. My doctor advised that I should follow the instructions for useage which come with the product, but he also said not to use this continuously for longer than five days. If my cough/cold hadn't cleared by then, he recommended using a natural remedy such as ... Read the complete review

I have suffered with badly blocked noses for the last 10 years or so and have tried several different remedies to unblock it. The worst time for me is at night times when lying down and so I began by using Olbas Oil on the pillow but then I suffered from blocked top sinuses so it was recommended by a doctor that I try Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops. ---About the product: Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops is a decongestant designed to open up and clear the nose by reducing swelling in the nose and reducing the amount of mucus produced by the nose. It comes in a small (10ml) plastic bottle which is then in blue box which contains the instructions for use including ... Read the complete review

Quite often when I get a bad cold my sinuses become very blocked and painful as I have been known to suffer sinusitis fairly often in the past. In the past I have tried various methods of relieving it including tablets, steam inhalation and sprays but on my latest bout I picked up an otrivine nasal spray in boots to try. The otrivine adult nasal spray caught my attention on a stand full of similar products simply because it said it works fast and lasts up to ten hours. This seemed ideal to me on both counts as being a single mum when I get poorly I cannot stop and must carry on with all the house work as well as caring for my little boy. The ... This review is for Otrivine Adult Measured Dose Sinusitis Spray. The Dooyoo category isn't very specific but hopefully this is the right place to put it. This spray 'delivers a measured fine mist of medication'. Otrivine is a 'highly effective decongestant which acts gently within minutes to relieve nasal congestion associated with sinusitis for up to 10 hours'. The active ingredient in this spray is Xylometazoline Hydrochloride 0.1% w/v. It is recommended that after each cold you throw the spray away and buy a new one next time, but this isn't too much of a waste as I think you would get through most of a spray with a bad cold. It is ... Read the complete review
