... Generally, with Panadol it is unusual to have any side effects. There doesn't seem to be any advice on side effects stated on the packet, however, it does suggest to consult a doctor if you have severe liver or kidney disease, if you suffer from arthiritis and need to take painkillers everyday. And of course, if symptoms persist it is advisable to see a doctor. I don't seem to experience any side effects myself, however, I have found that I do get a little sleepy after taking the tablets. So there may be a possibili...more

What is it? ******** Some paracetamol tablets by the brand name 'Panadol' - manufactured by Glaxosmithkline. Special features? ************* These help to relieve pain and reduce fever. They can be used to relieve headaches, mild arthiritis, period pain, neuralgia, feverishness, aches and pains of colds and flu, migraine, backache. Rheumatic and muscle pain, toothache, and sore throat. Panadol actually do three different versions now; their standard tablets in the blue pack, the 'Actifast' tablets that claim to work quicker, and the 'Panadol Extra' in the red packs that have a heavier dose of paracetomol. Headaches are the worst, aren?t they? I hate the feeling I get when I feel one coming on, if it starts behind my eyes I know I am in for a sore one that can, at times, develop into a full blown migraine that no pain killer will shift. Usually though my headaches start off as a pain in my neck, just above my ears at the base of my head, I find that if I take some paracetamol when I first feel it tug at my pain receptors I can usually head it off and bypass the pain bit. That is all very well if I actually have some painkillers with me but recently I was out shopping for Christmas presents ...  Read the complete review

I suffer from severe, headaches, well migraine actually. And am always popping some kind of pain relief. So having discovered these a couple of months ago, and finding they work quite well, I thought I may as well review them. I don’t really like to take anything stronger. So Paracetamol or Panadol will usually dull a migraine for me, if I take them at the onset of an attack. In my previous job, I worked a lot with spreadsheets. And the concentration needed nearly always brought on a headache. And I didn’t find that Paracetamol alone helped enough. I think a lot of people suffer with work related headaches through stress, and computer ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Panadol, amazing little capsules (198 words)

What an essential piece of kit these little beauties are, especially if you have a mouth like mine. A brief bit of background - I have a BIG phobia of dentists, and will only go when the pain is constant and far outweighs the fear, which in the last 6 years has been once. Anyway - a review is what's needed. Normally for a headache or sore neck muscles or similar, I would drop a paracetamol or two and that would do the trick, but for more serious pain (queue my teeth!), I discovered Panadol, quite by accident, as we had a friend staying, who had children who couldn't cope with tablets, and she had some Panadol in soluble form, and when my teeth started ...  Read the complete review
