Advantages: Fairly cheap, give you a boost when you need it.
Disadvantages: Can have dangerous side affects.
Pro Plus are a caffeine based tablet which aim to help increase your mental performance and temporarily keep tiredness at bay.
Two Pro Plus tablets are the equivalent of drinking a strong cup of coffee and contain 100mg of caffeine. This means that Pro Plus tablets are ideal for taking at the times when you can't drink a coffee or you need a boost of energy or are suffering from sleep deprivation and need to keep yourself alert for an extra few hours.
Some people drink Pro Plus tablets with red bull & I have been known to do this on occasions whilst out clubbing and feeling like I'm lagging a little but I would definitely not recommend it as it can cause heart palpitations or other horrible symptoms.
I do think that Pro Plus are very effective and they are fairly small and tasteless so it's easy to just swallow a couple of them when you need that little extra caffeine kick. I would not advise using them regularly as they're not meant for replacing sleep just occasionally making sure that you are kept alert or awake whilst out clubbing or just when practicing for an exam or studying or even just keeping yourself awake at work after a long day. I do not really use them lately as I now take care to get enough sleep and generally look after my body but if I needed a boost I wouldn't hesitate to give these another go.
There are available in 48's from Tesco for £2.95 and this works out to be just over 12p for two tablets so it is far cheaper than buying a coffee and providing you take these in moderation they will last you a good few months.
I am rating this product 4/5 because while it does help to keep you awake and alert there can be some bad side affects and I feel that too many people come to rely on them and will just continue to suffer from sleep deprivation or exhaustion rather than addressing their issues to help themselves feel better overall.
Summary: A burst of energy when you need it.
