Raspberry Leaf

It’s common names are raspis, hinberry and bramble. It can be found growing wild in Great Britain and is cultivated in many places in Europe.
The leaves and the fruit can be used in herbal remedies.
You can buy raspberry tea from lots of supermarkets and also from the health shops. A packet of 40 tea bags will cost you around £1.75 depending on which brand you buy and from which shop.

Raspberry leaf is an astringent as well as a stimulant. It can be used for many ailments, such as a sore throats. Gargling with raspberry leaf tea can ease a sore throat and is also good for mouth ulcers too.
You can also shred the leaves and pulp them into a poultice and apply the poultice to on wounds, as it helps to clean and heal them.
If you have a fever them drinking raspberry vinegar made with the fruit juice is good to help bring the temperature down. As a laxative raspberry leaves infused in hot water is really good for stomach ache and helps to relieve constipation.

This has a high iron content which makes it good to drink in pregnancy. As it helps to give strength to pregnant women and encourages fast and safe delivery of the child.
Mixed with equal parts of St John’s Wort it can help to ease the after pains after you have had your baby.
As raspberry leave tea is usually used for woman it is particularly good for if your going through the menopause.
As well as the hot flushes and the sweats, insomnia and fatigue this recipe will help to ease other symptoms of the menopause.
As well as having a balanced diet and adding the extra’s like banana’s and whole grains you can use equal amounts of the following herbs.

Blessed thistle
Squaw vine
Lobelia
Raspberry
Cayenne
Parsley
Ginger
Marshmallow.

If you grind these up and use it in small doses , 1 teaspoon with a cup of sarsaparilla tea, then it can help to reduce the hot sweats and flushes.
Only take on the days these symptoms bother you the most.

I hope this has helped in some way

This review was helpful and very descriptive, but there is not much personal opinion here. How useful have you found it for these ailments? Which brands do you recommend?
