I first bought some guarana buzz gum about ten years ago. I had just finished a morning’s work and was heading to the bus stop, when I popped into the health food shop for some porridge oats or something. As I waited to pay, the gum caught my eye with the slogan ‘chew two and see what you do’ ; I was feeling pretty shattered at the time. On the bus home I chewed the advised two pieces with no real expectation, and then forgot about them. It wasn’t until that evening, when I realised that, as well as my usual round of domesticity etc, I had also painted my porch – a job I had been meaning to get round to for months, and quite a substantial one at that, I remembered the gum.

I find buzz gum just the job when I am a bit tired or have something important to do. They are good if you’ve got a hangover and don’t keep me awake or make me feel tired the next day.
