If you're like me, you will always find you get scrapes and cuts at the most unfortunate of moments. I had a nasty little cut on my fingernail the other week and needed to find something to shift it quickly. There was a tube of this lying in the bathroom cupboard so I thought I would give it a go.

What is it then?

It is an antiseptic cream, designed to soothe and help in the healing of small skin complaints.

The test:

I put a small amount of the cream straight onto the cut, it squeezes out of the tube really well, no difficulty there. Just a little is needed as it comes out thick and fast!

The cream rubs in very well and takes just a few seconds to work into the skin. There is a slight clinical smell about it, but it smells fresh and not too vulgar. After rubbing the cream in, I left it on the cut for few hours, trying to avoid getting the area wet.

Results:

A day after the application, the cut was showing signs of healing and the swelling which had initially surrounded it had gone down by quite a bit. I feel the cream played a role in this. The minute it is applied it has a gentle cooling effect and as the hours pass, it takes away some of the pain associated with the skin complaint.

It did not totally heal the cut, but it definitely made it feel better.

Verdict:

Worth buying for small cuts, grazes, skin problems, works fast and efficiently
