I have used Savlon for as long as i can remember and i think it's an essential in any first aid box and even just to be kept in the bathroom cupboard.

It's an antispetic cream that 'cleanses and helps prevent infection in first aid and minor skin problems'.

It comes in a blue tube with a white lid and has Savlon written in white - they are sold in a variety of different sizes and i usually keep a small one in my pocket at work for when i get the odd nick and cut but i have a larger one at home and i use it for all sorts of things.

I used it as a teenager to help spots go down - i really recommend it for young men who might feel a bit consious using more feminine skin care products - it's also great at preventing shaving rash and is really soothing if you are unlucky enough to get it.

I usually buy a 100ml tube for at home which lasts me months and a little goes a very long way. My girlfriend also uses it too and keeps a small one in her make up bag as she agrees it's great for spots and blemishes.

It's great to put on minor burns too as it stops it from blistering and soothes the area. Basically any sort of skin problem i combat with Savlon!

Summary: I can't live without the little blue tube!
