Advantages: good quality, soft on skin
Disadvantages: -
Over the last few days I seem to have come down with an annoying cold that seems to have come out of nowhere. At first I had a sore throat but then I had a runny nose and it has been that way mostly so I wanted to buy some good tissues that wouldn't leave me with a sore and bright red nose. I had bought some good tissues the last time I was ill but I wasn't looking to pay too much as long as they were tissues that had some kind of a balm on them which would make the tissues softer.
PACKAGING
Like most of the Spring Force products this comes in a rectangular box with brightly coloured flowers all over it making it really distinct right away. The lid that is perforated and pulled off has information about the tissues but this is then pulled off to create an oval shaped hole which is where you will get the tissues out from. The box is lightweight and holds 90 tissues in it which is quite a good amount and the tissues are white in colour, no pattern.
SPRINGFORCE ULTRA BALM TISSUES
These tissues are 210mm x 200mm approximately which is your standard tissue size and these are 3 ply. I like these tissues, they are easy to pull out of the box and at least when you pull one out it half pulls the second one out which is what it should do. The box is big enough and the tissues are soft to touch and have a slight texture on each side almost like a border to make them look a little bit more exciting than a flat paper tissue.
I like a good quality tissue and this is definitely what these are, they are kind to my nose and having used them a lot of times today, they still haven't made my nose look red and my skin isn't dry. Being 3 ply, some of the tissues are better stuck together than others as some have the layers slightly separated. I find though that these are thick enough and when blowing my nose, they are absorbent enough and don't need to be any thicker.
With these tissues, because they are so absorbent you don't need to use as many as you might with cheaper tissues. Being balm tissues, they don't have any kind of smell to them but apparently these are enriched with vitamin E and aloe vera to help soothe skin but I really can't smell any of those. Although, the tissues do feel soft on skin so in that sense, they must have these ingredients the fact that they work when using them. The balm makes all of the difference when you are blowing your nose constantly.
I do think these are a great box of tissues to have in the house, whether you are ill like myself or even if you just need tissues in your house. The box is nice and colourful, it brightens up any room and the tissues are really good quality for what they cost and you know they will keep your nose soft. I will be buying these again definitely as I am pleased at how many are in the box and how good they are at catching germs and making me feel at ease while having this cold, they really are a good purchase.
