Strepsils Extra

I have been suffering with a persistent sore throat for several weeks now and regular Strepsils have not had a very positive effect in terms of clearing it up. In desperation, I picked up a packet of these Strepsils Extra lozenges in the hope that a stronger option would do the trick. If you have never taken Strepsils before, they contain antiseptic to fight against the infection that led to the sore throat in the first place and another ingredient to reduce the pain. Buying medicine for a sore throat is never usually pleasant, simply because of the way you feel at the time. Unfortunately, unless you're incredibly lucky, chances are it's a purchase you're going to have to make at least once annually. I've had a niggly sore throat for a few days and yesterday it finally got bad enough for me to give in and buy something for it. Asking for strepsils, I got presented with a packet of strepsils extra in blackcurrant flavour. They are designed to ease the pain of a sore throat. If I go anywhere near a university or college in the autumn, I seem to emerge with freshers' flu.
