Advantages: Brilliant at treating nappy rash; fairly inexpensive

Disadvantages: I can't think of any!

I absoutely love this stuff! It can be used as a treatment for so many skin problems, and I've also found it to be especially effective for treating nappy rash, something which both my daughter and son have suffered from unfortunately. My husband tends to get quite rashy on his thighs as he works in a hot environment so his legs get sweaty and sore. He tends to apply some Sudocrem to his thighs when he gets in from work, then leaves it on for an hour or so before washing it off in the shower. He finds it really soothes his sore skin.

The cream is really thick but easy to apply and I think it has quite a nice fragrance to it. I know when I had my children you were given a small taster jar of Sudocrem in your Bounty Pack at the hospital; i'm not sure if this is still the case, but I found this little tub to be ideal for the changing bag. If you have small babies I would really recommend you to have a large tub of this in the house at all times; it is very quick at soothing a little one's sore skin when they have nappy rash. It also goes some way to preventing them getting it in the first place as it creates a barrier between the child's skin and the nappy. Many of the supermarket's own brands of nappy cream are much cheaper, but I've never found them to be as good as Sudocrem.

I have also found the cream to be very useful if I've caught the sun and burnt a little; it is very soothing and eases the soreness of sunburn.

Summary: A very useful addition to any self-respecting parent's changing bag!
