Advantages: It seems to work

Disadvantages: A little oily - this is not serious though.

This stuff is absolutely excellent and no home should be without it.

I came across this stuff through a recommendation. I was suffering from very dry skin around about my face. I didn't feel I needed to go to the doctors with it as I wasn't in any sort of pain, irritated yes but not in any pain.

Without sounding too gross about this little flakes of skin were falling off my face at the slightest movement - almost like dandruff.

A friend recommended I try some of this. I bought a 250 gram tub. Whether or not that is the smallest size they do I don't know, but that was all the chemist had at the time.

I got home and applied this thinly to the bits of may face that were suffering (on my cheeks just below the eyes).

I instantly felt some relief from the irritation and the cream acted like a glue, I suppose to keep the flakes of skin from falling off.

I had been going easy washing my face during the time of this irritation. I actually think the irritation was caused by a new face cloth I had been using immediately prior to the onset of the skin irritation.

This stuff is not so much greasy, but oily, it doesn't soak into the skin the way a moisturiser would. So I was stuck between a rock and a hard place of gentle washing because of the irritation and putting up with not getting the oily feeling of the Sudocrem off my skin.

I am glad to say thought the redness of the irritation seemed to go after a few days and my skin began to heal.

I have since used sudocrem on sunburnt skin it doesn't so much calm the burning, but your skin does fell as if there is some sort of healing happening.

Although I don't recommend doing this I sometimes use it as a moisturiser, when my skin is feeling a little drier tan normal, you have to understand I am not a moisturiser sort of guy, but this definitely sorts out a bit of dryness.

Smells oddly 'pleasant' too.

Summary: A kind of 'cure-all' for minor skin complaints.
