Advantages: You can use it for anything
Disadvantages: doesn't rub in very well
We've always had sudocrem in our house ever since I was a child, I guess my mum first used it for nappy rash when we were babies and never stopped buying it. As a teenager I found it was fantastic for getting rid of spots. Forget the other spot lotions and potions, slap on the sudocrem over night and the next day its gone! Cold sores? Stand no chance against sudocrem. Sun burn? Gone by morning and ready to go back out into the sun again. Any cuts, burns and minor injuries I've ever had have been cured with the pot of sudocrem that always sits in my bath room. It goes a long way, lasts a long time, smells ok and works very fast. The only slightly negative thing about it is to use it on things like spots you have to apply over night as it doesn't rub in very well, but it works so fast by morning you don't need it anymore. Now I'm finally becoming a mother myself and look forward to introducing my baby to the delights of sudocrem and using it for what most people think it's made for - nappy rash. But don't forget it's just as useful for the whole family as it is for baby's bum!

- 20/08/00 Yes its great, but beware as some babies, (mine did) develop an allergic reaction to lanolin (when they have nappy rash), which is in nearly every "nappy" cream. The Sudocrem made it worse, however a cream called Metanium is brilliant and I still use it now 9 months on, every night before Jack goes to bed. |
