Advantages: Refreshing
Disadvantages: None so far
I first heard of this when my midwife recommended it as a bath additive to help me heal after having my baby. I found it very relaxing and soothing and it helped me heal very well. Then, I read an article which told me I could use it for spots as well, which I did, and found it better than Clearasil, which is what I normally use for stubborn spots... I used it in its pure form right out of the bottle, but I heard Body Shop do a version which it quite good..... I don't care for the smell myself, but my boyfriend likes it!!

- 18/09/00 you're quite right about tea tree oil, its brilliant, I've used it for loads of things such as spots etc.. you can also use it to heal mouth ulcers, just dab a bit on the ulcer.
Lavender is another good essential oil, I use it when ever my daughter has a cold or blocked up nose. Just put a couple of drops in a bowl and pour on boiling water.
Be warned the smell can get quite strong!!
