I usually buy Kleenex Balsam when I need tissues but yesterday I was stuck with the local mega expensive chemist for all the supplies I'd need to help my cold. They were charging something stupid like £3.00 a pack of Kleenex and I hadn't got a lot of cash on me so I decided to leave the tissues and just use baby wipes and kitchen roll.

When I was paying for my stuff though I saw a pack of 8 individual packets of Tempo tissues for just £1.00, making them 12p a pack which is a big difference to the 50p a pack the Kleenex tissues work out at.

You get 9 folded tissues in each pack and the tissues are 4 ply so they are strong enough to cope with all the snot you can come up with during your cold! lol The tissues are very soft and feel kind of my nose, whenever I get a cold my nose runs like mad even if it's blocked. Mad, I can't breathe air up through my nose but the watery mucus can make its way down! lol

These tissues have got aloe and chamomile in them and that's where they fail a bit because it makes the tissue too shiney and that means they are not as absorbant as other tissues. I know this sounds horrible but if you do a big sneeze then all the wet stuff will sit on top of the tissue instead of soaking in so that you can fold the tissue and use it again. Most of the time it's one sneeze one tissue with these and that means they're probably not as cost effective as I thought at first.

They're as good as Kleenex Balsam for just wiping your nose though and you can ball them up and stick them up your sleeve for the next time you need your nose wiping. It's just sneezes and big blows that they don't cope very well with.

The tissues are very strong and I haven't had one rip on me yet, actually I left one in my pocket when I put my jeans in the washing machine last night and it hasn't ripped up and covered all the washing in white tissue bits!

I think they're well worth £1.00 and will buy them again next time I need to get tissues.
