Advantages: Gentle, nice

Disadvantages: None

This cold I have just had/am currently fighting is doing no good for my looks. My poor nose has turned a lovely shade of red and I've got lots of flaky skin around my nostrils which not only look bad but hurt too. No amount of lotion is helping to make it go away so I decided to use a nicer brand of tissue as I am a bit guilty of blowing my nose with the kitchen roll when I am in the kitchen. It's rough and scratchy and I have no idea why I do it but I do.

Anyway, I bought a pack of these balm tissues when I was in Tesco's the other day. The beauty of balm tissues is that they have a layer of lotion in them which makes it nicer when you blow your nose because it is not as scratchy as using a regular tissue. The balm makes the tissue quite smooth and for me it always seems like a little bit is transferred to your nose when you blow it protecting it a bit if you have to blow it a lot like you do when you have a cold. You can feel the balm on these tissues too when you rub it between your fingers.

These have been a lot gentler on my nose and I will continue to use them for the duration of my cold. I don't actually like to use these tissues when I don't have a cold as I find them too thick but for coating my nose during a cold they are great.

A box of these tissues costs £3.14 and of course they are available at Tesco's.
