Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: Inconsistent working wise

When it comes to aches and pains I really do get alot of them. For pain relief I take a few different tablets as well (as recommended from my Dr and Specialist).

I don't know where to start listing my problems lol. I suffer migraine and backache, I have a spinal condition (I have injections every 3 months but it still slightly hurts all the time and will do for life) and I have an eating disorder which just gives me general aches, pains and lethargy in general. I continually get colds and have headaches and I have gland in my throat that is sore to the touch (on the outside of my body , it;s a small visible lump) that never goes down which makes me feel grumpy alot of the time lol!

Along with that I grind my teeth in my sleep and suffer period pains. Yes I'm a right off and probably best shot lol.

So when I saw my spine specialist a few weeks ago he suggested taking ibuprofen which are a good all round pain reliever (in his opinion and safe to take with my other medications).

The Packaging....

Square silver, white and orange box. On the front in grey writing I'm told they are Tesco Ibuprofen 200mg Caplets 'Effective pain relief' and there is a picture of two of the caplets and I'm told in the bottom right hand corner there is 16 in the box. On the back of the box I'm told what they are for, dosage and warnings are listed, ingredients and storage instructions are given, contact details for Tesco are given and finally there is a bar-code on one of the sides of the box. Nice enough box and you get a list of information on a leaflet in the box as well as two trays of pills.

About Ibuprofen....

Do not exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours.
Do not give to children under 12 years:

Me Taking Them....

How these work, for me depends on what is up with me to be honest with you. As stated under 'about this product' heading in this review these are only for mild to moderate pain.

I take 2 with a big glass of water. They are oblong, thin, rounded off at the edges and are white and shiny to the touch. Easy to swallow cos they are not big! They have no smell and no taste but you do need to drink a fair amount of water to dissolve them and make sure they don't repeat on you or anything.

I've taken them for numerous things over the past few weeks. Hangovers they don't work on, neither do they migraine attacks but they are ok for a normal tension headache and the likes. Slight aches and pains sure but my diagnosed problems...these don't touch at all. They do nothing for spine! They do help though as I said with mild to moderate pain and I take these sometimes in the morning to help relieve my jaw ache from grinding my teeth. They do help with my bit of ordinary back ache if I've been shopping or anything like that and they do work on slight aches to be fair to them.

Verdict....

They don't work for me all the time and I don't like not being able to rely on them for effective pain relief. I find they do take ages to work (a good couple of hours even on slight pains) and even then it's hit and miss as to whether they do or don't really work.

I wouldn't swear by these but but if you have the odd niggle they may be worth a go at only 35p a packet for 16 pills though I wouldn't recommend them for headaches cos if you take these and they don't work or you, you can't exactly go take something else when you realise and your stuck with the pain! lol.

Only to be taken if you need them and of course if you have any health worries do go to the Doctor!

Summary: There are better pills out there if you must take them
