All This for under 50p (Tesco Ibuprofen)
Member Name: dad-of-three
Advantages: really cheap and easy to swallow Disadvantages: none Where do i start, the active ingredient in tesco ibuprofen is exactly the same as the active ingredient in the leading brand ibuprofen. The best bit is that it costs a fraction of the price but gives the same pain relief. well now that we have the financial side out of the way there are several other things to bear in mind before using ibuprofen. There is the maximum dose an adult can take each day which is 400mg three times daily. This is best taken with or after food as this will reduce the chance of ibuprofens major side effect which is stomach irritation, This can result in the constant feeling of indegestion, if this happens consult a doctor. Other things to bear in mind are that ibuprofen can, if taken by sufferers of asthma that isn't well controlled, possibly increase the chance of an asthma attack. Aswell as being used for pain relief ibuprofen is also an anti-inflammatory and is therefore good for pain such as toothache, muscular pains and period pains. If you purchase the 200mg tablets from a pharmacy you can buy upto 96 tablets but in a normal shop you will be restricted to 2 x 16 tablet packs. In a final word - the tesco brand provides all this in a coated tablet form which is easy to swallow and is really cheap! Summary: Always keep a pack in as you never know when you'll need them. |
