Advantages: Easy to swallow; The effects lasted for longer than I thought; Loads cheaper than Nurofen

Disadvantages: Took a bit longer to work than Nurofen

I had a mad headache last week so when I was in Tesco I had a look at the painkillers because paracetamol wasn't helping. I'm not much good at swallowing tablets so I got these caplets because they are like a tiny sausage shape so I thought they'd be easier to swallow than big round tablets.

These only cost 32p for 16 caplets so that's loads cheaper than Nurofen and the other big names in medicines.

I think they worked wicked. I took 2 in the cafe in Tesco and I reckon they took about 10 mins to start working and my headache gradually got better and better until it was completely gone about 25 mins later. I know that's a longer time than it takes Nurofen but I think them are so strong that they should be kept for when you're in proper bad pain and not just be used for small but annoying headaches. It wasn't like my headache was majorly painful but I think if it had been then I would have been disappointed by how long these ones took to work.

They are easy to swallow with a glass of water and go down easy. They haven't got a chalky feel or anything like that and I was glad that you can't taste the tablet when you put it in your mouth because you can with some paracetamol and it makes me sick.

They are 200mg so not massively strong and that's probably why they take longer to work than Nurofen because I think the ones I used to get when I was having problems with my teeth was 400mg and they're proper fast acting. When I took these Tesco ones I wasn't expecting them to be that good but the effects of them last quite a long time. You can take them every 4 hours but the tablets worked for me for about 6 hours when I took 2 so I ended up having my next dose every 5 1/2 hours to give them time to work before the last lot wore off.

I reckon you should try these because the 200g Nurofen caplets are £1.89 for 16 so that's a massive saving and just shows your paying for the name because these ones from Tesco are just as good.

Summary: A Cheap Alternative To The Mega Expensive Nurofen
