In general I'm a fan of own-brand painkillers - the difference between the cost of production and the retail price is normally ridiculous, and anything that cuts down this enormous divide is just fine with me. Tesco's own brand Ibuprofen costs just 32p for 16 easy to swallow tablets (Nurofen's equivalent is £1.89, and as I write this ... Read the complete review

I had a mad headache last week so when I was in Tesco I had a look at the painkillers because paracetamol wasn't helping. I'm not much good at swallowing tablets so I got these caplets because they are like a tiny sausage shape so I thought they'd be easier to swallow than big round tablets. These only cost 32p for 16 caplets so ... Read the complete review

Tesco Ibuprofen Caplets are sold in packets of 16, for only 32p. That's only 2p per tablet, which is very good value compared to the leading brands, which are around 13p a tablet - over 6 times as much money! Ibuprofen is used to relieve pain, fever and cold and flu symptoms. The outer packing consists of a cardboard box, suitable for ... Read the complete review

I don't like taking headache pills but there are occasions where I just can't get through the day looking after two boys under two and half with a massive headache. I always make sure these tablets are around for my hubby and on the odd day I will end up taking a couple too. You buy Tesco Ibuprofen in tablet or caplet form and there are ... I am a regular user of painkillers. I have fibromyalgia, and I'm allergic to codeine meaning that unless I want to start moving up the ranks to something stronger, I have little option but to use ibuprofen and paracetamol on a regular basis. Actually, (with doc's approval of course!), I often use them in combination to combat break through ... Read the complete review

Why pay top price for painkillers if the supermarkets can do it just as well? For years I suffered with headaches on a regular basis, and found my mum's paracetomal did nothing for them. Then, one day, a friend gave me a nurofen tablet and the headache just went: result! I bought those for a few years until I got a bit budget conscious and had a ... Read the complete review

Where do i start, the active ingredient in tesco ibuprofen is exactly the same as the active ingredient in the leading brand ibuprofen. The best bit is that it costs a fraction of the price but gives the same pain relief. well now that we have the financial side out of the way there are several other things to bear in mind before using ... When it comes to aches and pains I really do get alot of them. For pain relief I take a few different tablets as well (as recommended from my Dr and Specialist). Ibuprofen is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and used as an painkiller, especially when there is also an inflammatory component (eg arthritis or joint pain in general) , also to fight fever. It's is marketed under several brand names (Nurofen being probably the most popular in the UK) and also as a generic or own-brand ... Read the complete review
