Tesco's own brand of paracetomol caplets are of 500mg strength and are designed to help combat a range of general aches and pains including headaches, migranes, toothache, muscle pains, stiffness, colds, period pains and sore throats, and I have found them to be just as effective as more expensive brands despite costing only around 40p for a pack of sixteen. The caplets come in two blister packs of eight, and the packaging also caters for blind people, with brail bumps on present on the front of the box.

The caplets are much easier to take than the circular tablet versions, and split easily into two for easy swallowing. They are less chalky too, and unlike the circular tablets do not dissove instantly in the mouth, leaving an unpleasant bitter taste on the tongue. The tablets can be taken in doses of two caplets (adults) or a half to one full caplet (children between 6 and 12 years) upto four times in any twenty four hour period, and are a cheap and reasonably effective way of combating mild to moderate aches and pains.
