Newest Review: ... really get used properly I thought this would be an opportunity to make a saving. A box of Tesco Value Tissues costs 25p but ... more

... that does seem to change quite often I have noticed when I've been in Tesco. For your money you get 150 2 ply tissues, so far so good. After using the tissues I have come to the conclusion that they are rubbish. I did buy a couple of boxes but it wasn't until I got a cold and used the tissues for myself that I realised how bad they are. After a day or so of blowing my nose with the tissues they actually made my nose really sore. The tissues are very thin and very rough. It's like using cardboard but at the same ...more

We cannot survive in our house without tissues, we have three young boys aged 5, 3 and 1 and it is unbelievable how many tissues they use. Not only do we have lots of colds and snotty noses in our house but everytime they cry its "I need a tissue" often before the tears have even come. Therefore because I am always trying to save money on the weekly shopping I thought I would try Tesco Value Facial Tissues. Seen as I seem to go through a box of tissues a week and most of the time they don't really get used properly I thought this would be an opportunity to make a saving. A box of Tesco Value Tissues costs 25p but that does seem to change ...  Read the complete review

I do like to always have a box of tissues to hand. I suffer with hay-fever and am prone to catching colds and of course like them for general use like a quick blot of my lipstick before leaving the house and things like that! The Packaging: It's a white and red oblong cardboard box with the same colour writing on it. On the top of the box I'm told it is Tesco 'Value' Tissues 150 2 ply Facial Tissues. On the bottom of the box there is a perforated oval shape that you simply pop open and on that the size of the tissues are listed, I'm told about why these are kind to the environment, contact details for Tesco are given and finally there is a bar-code ...  Read the complete review

You hear the letterbox clang and you make a dash to see if the postie has left you anything remotely interesting. This mornings offering came in the form of a leaflet advising how to ward off swine flu, or how to deal with it should you be unfortunate enough to contract it and Natwest would be delighted to sell us yet another of their very tempting insurance policies !... I know I am slow but I am getting to the point! Here we are trying to Save the Planet, recycle, re-use odd scraps of paper and then wham bam there is half a tree popping through your letterbox! There is some kind of connection here and in a moment all will become crystal clear, Tesco ...  Read the complete review

Anybody who has read my earlier reviews will know that I am actively trying out some of the cheaper supermarket brands in a bid to save some pennies. With us recently having set a date for our wedding, our purse strings have got even tighter than they already were. So, when in our Tesco supermarket the other day, I decided to try these Tesco value facial tissues instead of the usual brand I would buy. I was immediately impressed at the price - they cost a mere 25p - which was almost a pound less than the box I would usually buy. The box stated that it contained 150 2-ply tissues, and is a normal size compared to other brands. The ...  Read the complete review

**** Introduction **** During the recent credit crunch I have been looking at trying to save a few pennies, so when I went to Tesco last week I started by replacing my branding buys and opting from some of the value range. In my house we go through a box of tissues a week so these are always on my shopping list, This time instead of opting from Andex tissues I picked up a box of the Tesco value tissues to give them a try. **** The tissues **** These cost a fraction of the price at only 33p for a box of 150 tissues, so with them being over 80p cheaper I picked up a box and throw them into my trolley to try, because lets face it ...  Read the complete review
