Advantages: Very good quality for the price, excellent value for money.

Disadvantages: None, unless you start comparing it to leading brands, but even then it still holds its own.

These are a hidden gem at Tesco's, very undervalued and always placed on the bottom shelves - to make way for the other leading brands who have paid for the best shelf spaces, I guess...

These are a box of tissues by Tesco's own value brand. They used to cost 36p for a box of 150 2-ply tissues. This already, without accounting for the quality of the tissues, is an absolute bargain in itself, excellent value for money.

The quality of the tissues cannot really be compared with the leading brands. Not really as soft and as nicely folded, but in their own league, these Tesco Value tissues do hold their own.

These are tough tissues, not that I mean they're like paper - when you hold one of these you will know what I mean - they don't tear easily and each individual ply is quite thick. When the tissue is torn there is hardly any dust or fluff - a very good sign of good quality material.

They also absorb and hold water well, brilliant for mopping up small spills. These are actually classed as facial tissues, though I don't personally use them for make-up or facial cleansing. Tissues are never as good and soft as cotton wool pads, but with these tissues because of its particular quality and features they do hold cleansers quite well to help with removing make-up but I still feel that they don't clean as well as cotton pads. However, compared with a few other facial tissues I have tried, these are probably the best.

I mentioned that they 'used to' cost 36p for a pack - however, a few months ago they have gone down to 27p! You would think they must have compromised the quality in exchange for this, in fact, they have improved the quality even more and they are even better than before! One may think that they use sub-standard material to make this; however, the tissues are not from recycled material and are manufactured from sustained forests.

Ok, they may not be as soft as silk or folded perfectly in the box - but come on, for 27p you would be crazy to penalise them when the other leading brands that cost 8 times as much are not exactly perfect...

Thanks for reading xx
