Tesco Value Tissues.........

These Tesco Value Tissues were just one of the Tesco Value Range I decided to try out on my recent budget-shopping trip and I really think I should not have bothered.

They come in at a little over the 50 pence margin, which is considerably cheaper than the rivals in this product such as Kleenex whose single boxes often sell for bordering on the £1.50 pence price range.

However, even though the Tesco Value tissues are cheaper in comparison there is not really much more going for them other than this factor.

The tissues themselves are a lot darker in colour than my usual Kleenex branded ones and have a very grey like appearance where as Kleenex are a lot whiter and cleaner looking. The tissues from the Tesco value range box are a lot trickier to get out of the box compared to the Kleenex ones. They often will come out only one at a time which is good, but the tissue that is next in line to be used will always be stuck in the box and not be poking up ready to use. Therefore, I found I had to get my hand in the box and try to coax the next tissue out which I found rather annoying.

The feel of the tissues is another big factor and the cheaper Tesco Value tissues felt so much rougher in texture compared to the Kleenex brand. Using these Value tissues when you had a cold would surely end up in you having an even redder and sorer than usual because of the roughness of the tissues.

The Value tissues are strong compared to the Kleenex ones but still not better than they are. They can take a good blowing force as can the Kleenex but for me this is just not what a tissue is all about.

I found these tissues horrible to use and have decided never to buy them again because even if they are cheap they really do not do the job that I need from a tissue. They are not soft and caring for your skin and not a brand that I would recommend.

2/10 for Tesco Value Tissues.

Summary: a cheap but not cheerful tissue

I do agree with the not wanting to come out the box... and when they do, you get about 10 at a time! I don't think they're that bad, though!
