Advantages: Does what it says on the tin, great price, great quality

These are part of the Tesco Value range, which I buy quite a lot of. I tend to balance price with quality very closely and while there are some products I wouldn't buy Value unless I was convinced they were really good, I don't feel the same about paper products which are disposeable and just get thrown away. I've been buying these tissues for a while. I use tissues for various reasons- when using make up, nose blowing, wiping up little messes etc.

These tissues come in a very plain box as above with the Tesco Value logo and information about the product. There are an average of 150 2 ply tissues in this box of 204mm x 190mm. The tissues are from mixed wood sources, with the support of the Forestry Stewardship Council- shame they aren't 100% recycled yet, but this might make them a bit softer. It's your average size box that you would get with brands including Kleenex.

These tissues are quite white and not greyish like the value toilet rolls. They feel quite thick to the touch, which is quite impressive. You'd only need to use one of these for your average wipe of make-up, nose blow or glasses cleaning. These tissues also feel quite soft to the touch and even on my face. I am very happy to use these are they a similar to all over average products and as these are around 25p per box, you can pay £1.50 for other non-treated (scented/ balsam) tissues. I would say though, if like my husband, you might use a tissue then put it back in your pocket and maybe use it again, it will waste away a bit and little bits might come off.

As I ask in various of my value or basics product reviews, are these false economy? I would definitely say no. They are very similar to your average branded product and supermarket own. Where you will see a difference is between standard tissues like these and ultrabalm/ balsam type tissues. If you had a bad cold I would always say don't use plain tissues as for me my nose always gets really sort and rough. However, these aren't for that purpose and I find they are really good and fit for purpose.
