Advantages: Cheap,

Disadvantages: Not as soft as some brands

Tissues are one of the household products that plays a huge part in our daily life, although we don't really realise it. Ideally, there would be one box of tissues in every room of the house, because you never know when a sneeze might be coming up, it is also the fastest thing to just throw onto a spill because you don't always have a rag lying around.

I am used to using the "luxury" tissues which are 3 ply, because they are supposed to be better. I came across the Tesco Value Facial Tissue, which was by chance. The packing is one of the most noticeable things that are less fancy when compared to the more expensive brands. The background was white with the writings in red and the Tesco Value label placed in the middle.

Sometimes when I buy products, I just tend to think how it would look in the house. Therefore, I tried to ignore its appearance because it is hard to judge a product by the packaging.

The tissues are 2 ply, which I find slightly thinner than I would prefer. Although they are the same size as regular tissues, it is slightly rougher than the more expensive alternatives. It was not uncomfortable to use, it is just that it is not that soft.

The only issue would be with the packaging that is not the best in the world and some might consider an eyesore if they placed it in their home. However, this can be solved by using a tissue box cover.

For less than 30 pence per box, it is a good alternative as long as you put with the fact that it is not as soft as the premium brands. For the price charged per box, it really does give you what you pay.

Summary: A good alternative that comes at a great price

I always manage to rip these getting them out of the box!
I stick to Kleeneze Super Soft and buy hundreds of boxes when they are on sale, haha.

If its any help, out of my own experience, Sainsburys economy tissues are softer then Tescos economy.
