Advantages: Soft and cheap

Disadvantages: I had to use multiple tissues at once

Unfortunately with cold weather comes a runny nose and for me, I find I have tissues everywhere. In my pockets, in my hand, rolled up my sleeve, I use tissues as if I manufacture tons of them. I find it hard to keep buying different kinds of tissues as it turns out to be quite expensive, toilet rolls kitchen towels and pocket tissues, I don't think I can afford to buy any other. Recently I had a very bad flu and I usually just keep a toilet roll in my bed with me but I noticed that It was really hurting my nose. It scratched and it peeled the sides of my nose and just cleaning my nose became a pain. It came to the point where I didn't want to unblock my nose by blowing it out, instead I gave myself a headache by sniffing continuously. I then had to venture out and get the cheapest tissue box I could and I bought Tesco's everyday value facial tissues.
The tissues come in a thin cardboard box which is cream in colour and have purple printing over them. Very basic. Also there is an oval opening from which you pull the tissues out. Nothing appealing.
They cost me just over 60 pence and one box has 225 tissues in it. That is quite a lot of tissues if you think about it but when I got home, I discovered the tissue itself is so thin, if you have the flu you have to pull two out to blow your nose, if not more! It is a little disappointing but what can you really expect for such a small price.
I think these tissues are perfect for wiping the crumbs from your mouth but for blowing your nose or cleaning anything is definitely a big no. They are hardly absorbent and I think it is better to invest in one good box of tissues rather than using 2-3 tissues at a time and buying them over and over again. I regret buying them but I have to mention they are not rough at all. They are quite soft so when I was cleaning my nose, they were gentle on my skin. Given the agony I was in, just a soft tissue was enough to comfort me for a while. So I wasn't completely disappointed. But if you ask me, don't buy them for any other reason than to wipe your hands clean. They are not made to soak up liquids of any sort!

Summary: I'll just invest a few extra pennies in a better box of tissues next time!
