Tunes Cherry Sugar Free Throat Lozenges
I decided to try and be fit and healthy at the start of the week and went for a swim. For about the first twenty minutes it was fine there was only four people in the pool and then we were joined by a loud group of school kids. I don't mind kids but over the last few weeks the airwaves have been full with news about how many kids are coming down with swine flu and other colds at the min especially in NI.
Needless to say a day later and I was completely bunged up and have been feeling pretty lousy for the past few days. It may not have been the kids fault but if I was a detective looking for a cause they would be my first call. In an attempt to relieve my symptoms I decided to buy a pack Tunes.
What are Tunes?
Tunes are a type or boiled sweet. They come in variety of flavours but the most common is Blackberry or Cherry. They cost about 49p for a box. They are sold as an cough or anticongestant sweet.
My opinion
I am currently working my way through a box of the cherry flavour. I am surprised to find that they are sugar free as they taste really sweet. In fact I would go as far to say that they are pretty nice. As for the cold relieve they offer some but not a lot of relief. Any relief that I do get is very short lived. The good thing is that unlike tablets you can take one pretty much after the other.
Overall they are a nice sweet but in terms of cold relief they are not great. I think next time I will stick to Fishermans friends.
Summary: They help take my mind of the cold.
