Veno's Chesty Coughs

What is the world coming to? I'm sat here feeling sorry for myself and writing about cough mixture, haven't I got anything better to do? I should be dosing myself up with a glass of Bailey's instead of this nice little measure of Veno?s. Wouldn't want to overdo it now would we? Cough, cough, splutter, spultter. The bottle of Veno's has been in my cupboard for as long as the bottle of Whisky that's gathering dust. I hate both of them and I can't think of any use for either except medicinal purposes. When I was a child I can always remember being given Venos Cough Medicines if I had a persistent cough. They do cough medicines for tickly, dry and chesty coughs and are a tried and tested brand for me. Now I have my own family I make sure I have a bottle in for such occassions. I am not the type of person who shoves medicine down my childrens throats willy-nilly, however sometimes these things can need a bit of help to disappear completely so thats when I start my children on the Venos! Who knows where my cough came from. I woke up one morning after feeling completly fine for the rest of the week and noticed I had a slight tickle at the back of my throat. I have been suffering from a very chesty cough; how I got it I have no idea, as none of my family had it! It was one of those coughs that you have which is a constant tickling in your throat, regardless of how much water you drink, and the kind that gives you coughing fits where you go red in the face, your eyes start watering and your partner makes you sleep in the spare room because they think you are putting it on for sympathy and you are keeping them awake!!
