Veno's Chesty Coughs

... tickly is yellow and dry is blue. The chesty one is the worst tasting in my opinion. The tickly cough mixture has a honey/lemon taste which my family actually enjoy having. The smell alone of the chesty cough medicine is enough to put you off. It is extremely strong. It is a mixture of aniseed and liquorise in my opinion. The medicine itself is like syrup. It is thick and 'gloopy'. The colour is a vile dark brown colour too, so if you want a medicine to look appealing to your children in order for them to consum...more

Crowned Review Veno's Chesty Coughs: I'm Feeling A Little Chesty (1499 words)

What is the world coming to? I'm sat here feeling sorry for myself and writing about cough mixture, haven't I got anything better to do? I should be dosing myself up with a glass of Bailey's instead of this nice little measure of Veno?s. Wouldn't want to overdo it now would we? Cough, cough, splutter, spultter. The bottle of Veno's has been in my cupboard for as long as the bottle of Whisky that's gathering dust. I hate both of them and I can't think of any use for either except medicinal purposes. Until writing this review I didn't even notice that Veno's is made by Beechams, or to be precise, SmithKline Beecham. ...  Read the complete review

When I was a child I can always remember being given Venos Cough Medicines if I had a persistent cough. They do cough medicines for tickly, dry and chesty coughs and are a tried and tested brand for me. Now I have my own family I make sure I have a bottle in for such occassions. I am not the type of person who shoves medicine down my childrens throats willy-nilly, however sometimes these things can need a bit of help to disappear completely so thats when I start my children on the Venos! Venos medicines are manufactured by Beechams, who are a large manufacturer in the medicine world. They are available over the counter from most pharmacies. A ...  Read the complete review

Who knows where my cough came from. I woke up one morning after feeling completly fine for the rest of the week and noticed I had a slight tickle at the back of my throat. A few more days in and i was still coughing and as it was getting no better I decided to pop along to my local pharmacy to see if there was anything that could help shift my now annoying cough, after being recomended the Beechams Venos chesty cough I was soon home and taking my required dosage, the end of my cough perhaps.....no I was to get worse before I got better!! I am not one who likes taking tablets and it has been over 6 years since I last paid a trip to my doctors so I thought with ...  Read the complete review

~ ~ The ?mad cabbie? is off work at the moment, as no doubt some of you folk here at dooyoo have noticed over the past week or so. I made the dreadful mistake of tempting fate in the recent update of my review about Echinacea, (the Red Indian herbal remedy) and stating I hadn?t had a cold in the three or so years I?ve been taking it regularly. Result? Yep, you have it in one. Or should I say in TWO! Over the past month I?ve come down with not one but two stinking colds, one after the other. No sooner had I recovered from the first dose, and got myself back to work for a few days, than I fell ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Veno's Chesty Coughs: Carry on coughing (661 words)

I have been suffering from a very chesty cough; how I got it I have no idea, as none of my family had it! It was one of those coughs that you have which is a constant tickling in your throat, regardless of how much water you drink, and the kind that gives you coughing fits where you go red in the face, your eyes start watering and your partner makes you sleep in the spare room because they think you are putting it on for sympathy and you are keeping them awake!! I am not one to run to the doctors so the day after my cough started I went to my local chemist and bought Beechams Veno’s Expectorant for Chesty Coughs. I picked up this cough medicine, ...  Read the complete review
