Vick Sinex nasal spray used to be the first thing I reached for if I had a bad cold.

It helps clear your nose so that you can breath again and you don't sound like you have a peg fastened to your nose when you speak. One bottle of this lasts about a week is usually all you need for a cold, so at £2.45 it was quite good value.

Not anymore! I stopped smoking eight months ago and my nose is so sensitive that I often sneeze repeatedly at the slightest provocation.

Using Vick Sinex now makes me sneeze uncontrolably. My nose runs and it actually hurts up inside the nostrils.

I didn't have this reaction before so I'm fairly sure that stopping smoking has made my sense of smell very acute. (I didn't have one at all before.) The membranes inside my nose are also very sensitive. I suppose this is because they are not used to such intense smells.

So, I can't use Vick Sinex nasal spray anymore.

Summary:
