Hello all and a Very Merry Christmas to you all.

I am sitting at the computer (silly thing to say) and I have a really stinking cold and was feeling a bit fed up with myself so I thought I would tell you about a really good product you should really have in your medicine cabinet.

Its in a wee box roughly 4 inches by 2 inches, a mainly white box with a picture of the spray on the front and Sinex written in red.

I looked up the Tesco website and it is £2.71p for 20ml

I suffer from asthma and It hasn’t been too bad lately. All of a sudden I felt a bit wobbly the other night and my nose just started to run. I knew I was in for the cold but well!! What can you do..

I started to get all flushed, like you do and my nose was all stuffed up (too much information I hear you say)

When I went to bed I put Vick on my chest (I had a really big jarLOl) and settled down to go to sleep but after a wee while I couldn’t get a breath and I was beginning to panic and even my puffer wasn’t helping.

Jim (hubby) went downstairs to have a look in the cupboard to see if I had any Vicks Sinex and luckily I had.

This stuff worked like a miracle. You hold the bottle upside down then you insert it into the nostril and give the bottle a quick sharp squeeze. I did this twice in each nostril. It nipped a wee bit as I had been blowing my nose quite a bit and it would have been a wee bit raw. In just a couple of minutes my nose cleared and I could breathe without a struggle. I felt brilliant and I could also now smell the Vick rub on which made me feel better too. Be very careful not to swallow it though.

It tells you on the box not to use it for more than 7 days without medical advice and of course to keep it out of the reach of children.

This application should last up to 8 hours and I got to sleep for about 6 hours before I woke up sneezing again.

e my bed now. I have always been a fan of Vick vapour rub and Alec my eldest used to say if anything was wrong with him or his brother I used to Rub Vick on their chest Lol. He still tells this story to my granddaughters.

Vick is made by Proctor& Gamble. I would definitely vouch for this and give it a full 10 out of 10.

I still have the stinking cold but as long as it stays in my head (where there is plenty of room) and not go down to my chest (where there is no chance of it getting out) I will not let it spoil my Christmas.
