I have had a cold now for almost 5 days and it is driving me mad, I cannot wait to feel better. I have gone past the stage of constantly sneezing and now I just cannot breathe, my nose is so blocked and I am starting to talk funny. When I get a cold I tend not to take anything for it, maybe paracetemol but nothing ever seems to work. One ... Read the complete review

What do you do when you have a cold and you feel awful because you want to breathe through your nose again and you can't? Get up and carry on with your day and suffer in silence? Proclaim to the world that you are dying because you have 'man flu' (could just be a man thing)? Or do you look for a remedy that will help you get by? Well, that is what ... Read the complete review

Look through a girls handbag and you will probably find a make up bag, hair brush, phone and MP3 player as common place items. If you take a look in my handbag you will find those items but will always find a packet of Ibuprofen and Vicks Sinex Spray as well, this is because I suffer from headaches caused by my sinuses and although they ... I used this product for a few days because I had a pretty nasty head cold. Now that I've stopped using it, I am unable to breathe through my nose AT ALL. I can really understand how this product could become habit forming. I do not recommend it. The way my nasal passages feel right now, I wish I had never used it in the first place. It's 10 times worse than the cold was!

Before I came to review this product I had a look at the other reviews here and I am shocked to see how so many people have become addicted to this! I had no idea that this could happen which such an seemingly innocuous product. As a person who suffers from a dust allergy I find myself with a blocked nose at some point every day. I ... Vick's Sinex Nasal Spray was the only thing that helped me breathe whenever I had Hay Fever. Unfortunately, I misread the directions on the box and instead of using it once every 6-8 hours, I used it every hour. Eventually I became addicted to this stuff. I could not breathe without it. After attempting to ween off of it with the aid of decongestants three times, I was successfully able to stop my addiction. Unless you only use this once every 6-8 hours, DO NOT EVER TOUCH THIS PRODUCT. The detox is not fun.

Vicks Sinex Decongestant Nasal Spray is a spray which you squirt up your nostrils to give "relief from a blocked nose". The spray is recommended as suitable for anyone aged over 6 years, although I wouldn't be too happy giving it to a child to use - it's the kind of thing a child might squirt up their nose every five minutes if they ... Its never nice when you are all stuffed up, nose is blocked and struggling to breathe, especially at bed time when all you want to do is go asleep and all you can think of is I can't breathe. There is nothing worse than that. Vicks Sinex Spray has been out for years and the packaging has somewhat changed since that displayed in the ... Read the complete review

I think Vicks sinex is great stuff, so great in fact that I have been using it for over 20 years . Not only is this stuff increadibly bad for your health ( nose bleeds, liver damage ) to name but a few , but at nearly £4.00 a go, getting through at least 2 -3 a month, well you do the math. I just need to let people know how addictive this stuff ... Read the complete review

I think this is a UK site, but Vicks addiction is pretty common in the US. Suggested methods of "kicking it": Slowly wean yourself off it. This is what I did, and I was a total addict! I started very slow, like inhaling every two hours instead of one, then three- four-five hours. It really works, but you have to be patient. And for goodness sake don't try this when you have a cold!

Incredibly Good Value, incredibly useful product. This clears your nose fast, and for those people that can't stand blocked noses, is a Godsend. However, this stuff is addictive. I've found myself using it more often than I should, and thats not good. Imagine - blocked nose, can't sleep, can't breath - 1 squirt of ... Read the complete review

I am not the type of person that buys cold medicines or flu tablets very often. I have paracetamol for bad head aches or ear aches and I also buy tablets for my hay fever (and once I bought some bits for diarrhoea). I prefer to just let the illness take its course. So why did I buy Sinex? Well after my hay fever in 2004 I found ... Read the complete review

Well wouldn’t you know it! I managed to get through the winter months without a hint of the sniffles but now with the first kiss of summer I have developed an absolutely ear popping, sinus blocking, eye watering bummer of a cold. Mind you if my husband catches this it will be classed as Death-watch Flu! Anyway to cut to the chase my ... Read the complete review

Hello all and a Very Merry Christmas to you all. I am sitting at the computer (silly thing to say) and I have a really stinking cold and was feeling a bit fed up with myself so I thought I would tell you about a really good product you should really have in your medicine cabinet. Its in a wee box roughly 4 inches by 2 inches, a ... Read the complete review

I'm a 14year old girl and have been using Vicks nasal spray for 5months. At first this spray was brilliant when I had a cold, but that was as I said 5 months ago and still I need to use this spray every 4 hours. I read an opinion the other day about Sinex, the nasal spray, and it got me thinking. This is a product that I would never be without, as I just can't stand a blocked nose. If I have a cold this is the first thing I reach for. But hang on a minute - 'if I have a cold'? Actually no, that isn't quite correct. I have got ... Read the complete review

Vicks is a well known name in the area of cold relief, though probably best known for the vapour rub. The Sinex spray is targetted at a similar problem, that of the blocked nose, caused by sinus congestion. The spray comes in a small plastic bottle with a hole in the top, covered by a lid. The method of use is fairly undignified: stick it ... Read the complete review
