~~~~ Introduction ~~~~
Like most women I do seem to end up spending a small fortune each year on eye cosmetics and creams. Anything from mascara, eye shadows, eye liners, pluckers (which I always lose), concealers to anti aging creams and the list goes on.
Amidst your yearly eye cosmetic purchases how often do you actually consider your eye balls? If you're anything like me I'd say not very often at a guess. Well not untill now anyway!
As we get older our eyes whiteness dulls and appears grey over time and whilst at 31 I'm not quite at that stage yet, I do however have some eye ball issues of my own. I'm one of these people who just can't seem to get to sleep making waking up just as epic. I find I always seem to end up with puffy eyelids and pink or dull eye whites, so when I came across the Vital Eyes brightener drops I was intrigued to say the least.
~~~~ Opinion ~~~~

I have to say I usually just end up chucking the instructions leaflet away with most products but because this is a product that is used in the eyes I thought that It was important to read through it. The product comes with a whole host of warnings and cautions and i have to confess i was quite suprised to see so many which is why I felt it was necessary to include them in my review so that anyone considering buying this product can check for suitability prior to purchasing. After reading all the warnings I was a little concerned but i felt reassured that I didn't fit into the unsuitability category so I set about the application.

I found putting the drops in to be a little bit fiddly, I wouldn't blame the product for this as I always find eye drops a little hit and miss. I must have wasted at least four of five drops trying to get the drops in each eye with the all familiar flinching and blinking you'd expect to get with a product like this.

Once I managed to get the eye drops in, my eyes did water a little, so I would advise any make-up application to be done once the eye drops are in to prevent streaking your foundation. My eyes felt very cloudy and blurred for about a minute and initially my eyes appeared a little blood shot but that soon faded away.

After about four or five minutes after applying the drops I was really pleasantly surprised to see just how white my eyes were. They were really bright and sparkling. The redness had completely gone and my eyes really looked vibrant and full of life (for a change). I really hadn't expected such a vast improvement. My eyes felt really clean and fresh like they had, had a really good wash out plus the puffiness of my eyes had reduced slightly to. All in all i ended up with a cheeky little twinkle in my eyes.

I would say that the improvement is likely to last for most of the day or evening depending on when you have applied the drops. You can use the drops up to 4 times in one day to maintain the improvement but I have never felt the need.

The leaflet does warn that eye redness may increase if the product is used over a prolonged period of time which is something that I have not encountered as I only ever use or buy the drops for evenings out or specail events.

The fact that you should not use the drops continually and yet only have a month of use once you have opened the seal, in my opinion makes this product lose marks. £4 for a bottle is a reasonably expensive way to brighten the eyes if you are on a low budget like me, so you would like to think that the product would have a longer shelf life than one month. I would say that the 10ml bottle would certainly last longer than a month in terms of quantity.

If I were to rate this product purely on its performance then it would find itself with a very healthy four out of five but taking into consideration the vast amount of warnings and cautions plus the fact that prolonged use can cause eye reddening and only having a month to use the product once opened, I think it's only fair that the product should lose a mark giving it an above average three out of five.

In conclusion this is a fabulous product to use on special occasions and using it in this way should not cause any irritation. I would defiantly buy this product again, having said that I think that it's always important to take heed of the warnings and cautions in a product such as this therefore it won't be a regular addition to my cosmetic regime but it's still a fabulous product performance wise none the less.

Thank you for reading!

Summary: Super shiny white eyes.
